Vertical Reflex Therapy

What is Vertical Reflex Therapy (VRT)?

Vertical Reflex Therapy springs from the observation that tension in specific areas of the foot corresponds to tension in certain parts of the body. For example, treatment to the big toes can have therapeautic effects on the head. Treating the whole foot treats the whole body. Vertical Reflex Therapy treats the foot in a standing position and in this way differs from Reflexology, although the treatments compliment each other and both may be used in a single session.

How can VRT Help?

VRT can help by achieving the following:

  • Relieve stress and tension
  • Improve nerve function and blood supply
  • Strengthen the immune system
  • Restore and maintain a healthy balance in mind and body
  • Improve mobility

VRT is recommended to be practiced in short, five minute sessions which can be at the beginning and end of a Reflexology session.
