The Bowen Technique can be successful in treating the following:
What happens during a Bowen Technique session? The Bowen Technique lasts for twenty five to forty five minutes. In some cases, some relief from pain is experienced straight after the first session, but it is common for recipients to feel more centered in their body over the next 3 to 4 days as the body adjusts to the therapy and realigns. This process continues for approximately seven days until the treatment is repeated. Chronic pain can often disappear on a long term basis after three to four treatments. How did the Bowen Technique Originate? The Bowen Technique was developed by Tom Bowen (1916-1982) in Geelong Australia. He spent many years working on this technique and a 1975 survey by the Victoria State Government found that Tom Bowen was treating 13,000 patients a year (250 a week) with a success rate of 88% after only two or three treatments. Tom Bowen speculated that it was the increased flow of blood and the movement of bad energy together with lymphatic drainage that produced such great results. NoteThe Bowen Technique is not an alternative to medical health care. |
